Let's focus our attention on the many wonderful foundations that are already doing fantastic work in the world. It is so easy and inexpensive to provide food, shelter, medical care, and a loving family to thousands of children. There are many ways to get involved - you CAN make a difference.
And if you think only one diamond won't make much of a difference, well it all adds up. Approximately 1,500,000 people own at least one earth-mined diamond in the USA. So the greatest achievement would be for 1,500,000 American diamond consumers to act!
- Sponsor a child in Africa. Quite possibly the easiest and quickest, yet most impactful thing you can do.
- Be an educated consumer - know what you are buying and where it comes from, insist on verification and/or third party references.
- Support companies that support your cause.
- Put your wedding registry at Youth Action International. Invite your guests to buy a water pump or school supplies etc.
- Visit "Consumer Resources" in the menu above for more detailed information on how you can make a difference.
Whether you want to organize a fundraising event, talk to your company about workplace giving, write a letter to your congressman, or pass out flyers at your local grocery store, we can help you get started.
